The 2020 event is cancelled - see you next year!
Plan your visit - here are some pointers for how to find all Chiddingly artists' open studios.
Chiddingly artists' open houses are neatly spread around the environs of Chiddingly and East Hoathly. The villages are nestled in the Weald just north of the South Downs and not far from Lewes, the county town of East Sussex.
Nearest train: The nearest train stations are at Lewes and Uckfield. There is an hourly direct train from London Victoria to Lewes, and a similar service to Uckfield from London Bridge. It is approximately a 15 minute taxi journey from either station to East Hoathly or Chiddingly. Check with National Rail Enquiries to check service status and times. The station code for Lewes is [LWS] and Uckfield is [UCK].
By road: The villages of East Hoathly and Chiddingly are just off the the A22 approximately five miles south of Uckfield - an easy trip out for visitors staying in nearby Brighton, Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne.
Satnav: To aid satnav users, each venue entry shown on our map gives its postcode. Do please check our map for studios just a little further out of the villages! Nearest Bus: There is a bus stop in the centre of East Hoathly served by Stagecoach with route (54) from Eastbourne and Uckfield. The nearest bus stop for visitors to Chiddingly is at Golden Cross.
All visitors are welcome. If you have reduced mobility we recommend that you contact the specific venues you are intending to visit for full information on their accessibility as some venues have narrow doorways, steps or uneven floors.
